Don't take it seriously It's just a game, the same old same You're hustling me, hustling me Ace of hearts up your sleeve Don't know what's getting us through No second best close to my chest I'm shuffling you, shuffling you Diamonds in my hands All in good time There's no bluffing it Leave behind We'll make nothing of it - All in good time Sing to me curiously A cheap refrain, again, again You're puzzling me, puzzling me Ace of hearts up your sleeve Roll with the punches and then take it on the chin, it's all win win I'm running with you, running with you Diamonds in our hands Ch Diamonds in our hands

Take off your coat of arms Hang it on a hook inside the door Circus of lucky charms Wearing a face that I've seen before Eleanor I'm no great believer In promises forgotten Ringing a bell in the station of hearts It's like this freight train ain't stoppin' This freight train ain't stoppin' No sign of smoke I'll be gone In a cloud of confetti dry your eyes Awkward with great aplomb I'm growing restless from all your lies Valentine Ch I'm no great believer

Fortress 06:12
Are you aboard the Conflict? Navigating me Nobody doubts your ownership Calibrate the weaponry Move away from me Move away from me In kindness or injury Sending semaphore In a time of war Don't you fall into hands of the enemy Batten down the hatches Gale force south easterly Tinder dry our matches Strike a flame to kerosene Move away from me Move away from me In kindness or injury Sending semaphore In a time of war Don't you fall into hands of the enemy In kindness or injury Move away from me In kindness or injury

I am travelling 40 miles an hour, slow down, slow down Brakes are failing me 200 yards out, river brown, river brown I'm bearing gifts for you Ribbons red mistle-toe, mistle-toe We are the lucky ones A moment of weightlessness 800 tonne of steel fall down, fall down Your heart is in your mouth luggage lost, leather seats, hold on, hold on Broke at the coupling On your cheek Indigo, indigo I am the man with the torch light I am the woman in mud and pearls I am the priest reading last rites I am a girl in the snow globe world

Overland 04:33
Searching for line of sight Latitude, longitude Reading coordinates Parallel point of view Mapping a way to you is overland Our place of rendezvous, we understand I'm shifting contours by some degree I can remember your geography Pressure of isobars Relative humidity We'll never be too far In times of clemency Mapping a way to you is overland Our place of rendezvous, we understand I'm shifting contours by some degree I can remember your geography

about

In Kindness or Injury is either a further step away from their earlier acoustic ‘folk’ sound or simply a return to Rosy Tin Teacaddy’s weird and wonderful origins. This short-format ep is an atmospheric train trip from the volcanic plateau via Paekakariki to an imagined high-country station in a forgotten part of NZ’s Southland region. Passing through conflicts of longing, the despair of defence and NZ’s worst rail disaster, RTT continue to revel in the macabre and find the beauty in catastrophe. In Kindness or Injury reads like a topographical map; enough detail to find your way but every chance that you might get lost.
